Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Playstation 3

    • I am expecting top notch gameplay and great story line
    • The gameplay is fast and intense, with all the whip-cracking fun of the original NES game, but all the upgrades and advances you'd expect from a next generation system
    • I was deciding between this game and Enslaved, and ultimately I chose castlevania mainly due to consensus from the game media reviewers that this game has beautiful graphics, classical gameplay, and a lengthy quest
    • are lots of new techniques to learn through out the game, and the gameplay is dynamic enough to encourage you to change up styles and use different techniques
    • You rarely see a game 15+hrs long give you such a great storyline and have such a great overall gameplay feel that changes it up often.
    • The gameplay is difficult enough to try over and over and even when you have won, you try again just for fun or to watch the cutscenes
    • The gameplay overall is solid
    • Then as you master the gameplay, you will still be challenged all throughout the game, but you will be able to cope thanks to the school of hard knocks as early as chapter 1.Musical production, thanks to Kojima's assistance in this game, I would have to say the music is haunting
    • The gameplay flows well, but it lacks originality.
    • The characters are boring, and the gameplay is just stupid
    • The visuals are stunning, and the gameplay is very similar to vampire action-adventure games like "Legacy of Kain: Defiance" (lots of jumping around and hanging onto ledges), but it also has role-playing elements like collecting experience-points
    • The gameplay is very fluent
    • Sure the gameplay is like God of War
    • But despite all my love for previous Castlevania titles, the gameplay is so grinding and
    • I haven't really read the other reviews here, but let me sum up this game for you: a graphically beautiful game with good voice overs and repetitive gameplay that shamelessly steals its ideas from other successful games
    • Any fans of classic gameplay will definitely enjoy this one.
    • The gameplay of this game is similar to God of war, but better, requiring more skill with stronger and smarter opponents, making this game truly fun
    • Gameplay is good and you don't have to know about the franchise to know whats going on
    • At first the gameplay might seem a little sluggish and dull.
    • Great gameplay, production values, music and the graphics are as good as Uncharted 2
    • was great as well gameplay took the best bits from uncharted, god of war, and previous castlevania's graphics superb but not as good as uncharted among thieves but still beautiful and they realy captured how europe would of looked like durring the 10th centuary overall excellent edition to my action adventure games looking forward for a sequel.
    • It's high time the Castlevania series went back to the gameplay-rich, exploration-heavy 2D games of old, and left the 3D shenanigans to more suitable protagonists
    • I haven't really read the other reviews here, but let me sum up this game for you: a graphically beautiful game with good voice overs and repetitive gameplay that shamelessly steals its ideas from other successful games
    • After putting several hours in with the game though I was greatly pleased to find that the actual gameplay is gorgeous
    • The gameplay flows well, but it lacks originality.
    • I agree with other comments about the game's music, it's very similar to the lord of the rings soundtrack, may be too much for my taste but the gameplay and long and fun battle system is worth of my money
    • Castlevania for the Nes blew me away because it was pretty much the first horror themed game for any system and it had great gameplay, a nice difficulty curve, and imaginative boss battles
    • The gameplay was decent, the graphics incredible, but this game was NOT Castlevania.
    • If you're looking for a great story that's going to propel you forward while keeping you going with great, fluid gameplay, you'll want to look elsewhere.
    • The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fun, and there are a surprising number of puzzles.
    • The gameplay is fast and intense, with all the whip-cracking fun of the original NES game, but all the upgrades and advances you'd expect from a next generation system
    • The gameplay is excellent
    • Awesome Gameplay, Great Graphics and Superb Storyline
    • Add the Story points + Challenging/Gameplay points and that is great gaming experience.
    • The gameplay was terrible.
    • My 5 Stars because:Challenging & Gameplay-For me, games need to be
    • Gameplay is good and the controls are very smooth and responsive.
    • The awesome gameplay, power upgrades, incredible graphics and production values of the game along with one of the most awesome endings I have ever seen in a videogame, more than make up for any dull sections
    • The story was very cool, the gameplay was excellent / smooth, and the graphics are some of the best I've ever seen on the PS3 system
    • Beautiful Visuals and awesome gameplay
    • Definitely things I liked about it, but I would have liked it more if it was more like classic gameplay.
    • This Castlevania game is really great, I 'know that many people don't like the new perspective and gameplay because it looks more like God of war and devil may cry, but the story is very good, independently from others castlevania games, and I like GOW and DMC, so the gameplay is very good for me.
    • The gameplay was lacking in some areas but not enough to dimish the

    • There's nothing wrong with the game engine, per se - Gabriel moves and responds well enough, and - surprise surprise - there are some visibility issues with the fixed perspective camera, it's not enough to hamper the gameplay in a significant way
    • I loved the game but hated the ending, so 90% of this review is about the ending < SPOILERFirst of all, a lot of one-star reviewers hate this game because the gameplay is too much like God of War.
    • the graphics is great, the story is great, the gameplay is great and the platinum trophy is hard but very satisfying to earn.
    • The gameplay and scenery is great, but I spent a lot of time trying to rescue my wife, and it is a HUGE plot disappointment that the writers tried to be cool and hip and give us a stupid, contrived ending.
    • In great Castlevania fanfare, Gebriel gathers relics that boost his powers as he learns new moves and acquires subweapons
    • Many of the boss fights are quite epic and amazing as you move along
