The combat is excellent and balanced - the magic attacks in particular are great - and the puzzles are usually fun, if sometimes a little obtuse (you need a bit more than just lateral thinking to get through some of them)

It's like having puzzles in Metal Gear Solid.

Very cool game, long / epic journey, awesome mazes / puzzles, and certainly well worth the price.

It's simply a gothic God of War with aggravating platforming and puzzles that aren't really puzzles at all

While the game is fun if you enjoy 70% hack 'n slash, 10% puzzle, 10% platforming, and 10% climbing on bosses, it's not what you could call a Castlevania game, nor what one should expect from one.

This game kinda dragged a little and just seemed at some points like it was a job to play I like the story but not the gameplay too much and the puzzles were bad.

The favorite puzzle for me has to be the music box puzzle which you encounter later in the game followed by the chess-like Vampire War game that occurs earlier.

I really enjoyed the puzzles and the platforming.sound- This game doesn't have the classical castlevania score that you would expect, but themusic they have in this game fits it very well

it just drained my enjoyment instantly, having to do a 10min puzzle just to get back into the action (the puzzle was actually really cool to solve though ^_^ )

The puzzles are pretty easy for the most part, and this is compounded by the fact that you can skip them at the cost of the xp gain you would have received.

There are great puzzles, a fantastic storyline, and unbelievable graphics that look beautiful in HD.The DLC packs are also essential to the know whole story.

The puzzles were way too easy.

The goods are excellent sound and voice-acting, beautiful up to date next generation graphics that rival anything out there these days, and clever puzzles

If you like puzzles there are tons and tons of them in this game

With the exception of magic infused rune puzzles, the majority are very well executed

If u knew and enjoy castlevania before it becomes metroidvania u will like and enjoy this game a lot more than the "reviewers" did.
