my issue after using this was that my vents are always blowing a little bit of air if any setting is on for heat or AC, and in winter that air is usually heat, and the heat makes my phone overheat when it's on this thing which is on the vent, it didn't hurt my phone but it becomes insanely

Also, the turning mechanism isn’t keeping it in a specific place as much as I would like but my phone is always secure

Initially my phone had fallen out of the holder but after several tries I found that if you have the holder hold it at about an inch from the bottom where the bottom of the phone is then resting on a part of the dash, it works perfectly.

As for my work iPhone 8, the phone is much easier to slide in and out, as well as requiring much less force

Absolutely no reason to buy a more expensive phone mount... this one is perfect.

Only thing that I don't like is that it's in front of the air conditioner and if you do not have a case on your phone, your phone may be sensitive to intense temperatures (cold,hot,etc)

Only reason I subtract a star is that the rotation piece on the back is rather loose so as I drive my phone moves from horizontal to slightly askew, and the spring loaded part that holds the phone isn't that easy to open and close

But be careful if you have the heat going through the vent so you don't overheat your phone.

Phone gets overheated in some time when you increase the temperature

If the phone mount were just a bit extended or from the part that attaches to the vent, it would solve this problem and secure the phone upright and more solidly.
