The wiring for this guy is a horrible 22,24 gauge speaker wire

What a fantastic speaker for really rounding out the sound with some nice clear (and not rediculous) bass.

Good speaker, bad amp...

and they're not as loud as the front speakers.

but it still nicely fills in the bass the other 4 speakers were lacking

I have abused this speaker and it has held up for last 6 months.

Initially, I replaced all of the cheap factory speakers; that slightly improved the low-end frequency response, but something was still missing.

Good speaker, bad amp...

but adding this sub allowed me to focus on where the Alpines Type R's really shine, mid range and treble, while allowing the sub to basically handle all the bass.
