Amazingly, the lines are not broken, and look very well.

I used them with stencils, and the lines were clean

The tips catch on even smooth surfaces and don't provide a smooth, solid chalk line

But the tips need more variation--one side finer and the other broader to make a more decisive line.

The colors are really vibrant and bright, and the lines stay very crisp if you don't press the tip really heavily-- just pump it a few times to get the ink flowing steadily, and repeat that if it dries out a bit (this only happens to me if I'm writing at an angle where the tip points up a bit).
