I think my case is defective

Prior cases felt cheap and the rubber or TPU material felt "less dense."

The first case I received was defective and only charged the phone at the slow rate

The case that comes with it is pretty good, the only problem with it is the power button is pretty hard to press and this can get annoying.

The case also provides great protection and feels very rugged.

The S4 version of the case has been greatly cheapened, it feels like a cheap TPU case with the usual stiff buttons

Returns to prefer a simple silicone case

ALL Extended Batteries should have a protective case included

Until then I will continue to use my original battery on my S4 along with my durable case to protect it.

The only issue with this case is the case does not provide any screen protection nor does it cover the charging hole.

This is a well made case that, at least in my experience, works as advertised and is exactly what I expected

The case does cover the power and volume buttons and while the buttons still work, they lose a lot of tactile feeling/sureness.
