I think some people attribute bad signal to the quality of the antenna.

I think if I decided to mount it outsidei might get a cleaner signal

This antenna worked great - signals strong and pictures crystal clear on each of 23 local channels that I can now receive

With the amp, which has multiple outputs, both the Hopper and the TV get good signals

It's a good product and gets most of my local stations plus but not a clear and strong signal on channel 9

Have yet to find a great antenna to mount in the attic that provides a great signal... the local TV antenna farm is located on 16 miles away.

All of my previous attempts at simultaneously receiving a variety of solid DTV signals have resulted in frustration, but no longer.

I could not get a decent signal from the nearby stations (about 5-6 miles), and the stations in the next town over (the major stations, plus some independents), about 40 miles away, were about as bad (this antenna can be oriented, you DO want to point it to the stations farthest away).Undaunted, i decided to try roof mount (in for a penny...).

RG59 is not the same, it works for the older analog cable TV, and it does not give you a good signal.

From the TV Fool signal locator most of our channels were broadcast from almost due north of us

This antenna did not work for me , please be aware that if you live in a valley , you won't get a good signal

I went ahead and purchased this extremely overpriced antenna PLUS the extremely overpriced signal amplifier (over double of what the Lava 2605 costs) and it picks up about half of the stations that the Lava does

I live within 20 miles of most of the transmitters but could not get a clear signal at all.
