The Eclipse was easy to set up, particularly because of the grip strip, which allows you to find the best spot without permanently adhering it to the wall
-
Maybe, if everything (TV, antenna, room furnishings) could be moved around the room to provide the "sweet-spot" for the antenna it, may actually pull in more than 3 stations (2 with the "booster"!)
-
However, if you don't have great reception, then the exact angle and placement of the antenna will make a huge difference (I spent an afternoon wandering around our house trying every available spot!), and this antenna needs to lie flat against a wall
-
I used a 3M command strip instead of the sure grip strip once i had the right spot.
-
At this range it took about an hour to find the right spot on the wall to get all stations consistently
-
Of course, one can probably get just as many channels they want, even with a cheap antenna, if they find the sweet spot; however, if you're away from the window or just simply want to hide the antenna away from via (where things will be blocking it), cheaper antennas can give you trouble
-
It took me about 15 different tries to finally find the "sweet spot" that pulled in the strongest signal for the greatest number of channels.
-
I have about 25 channels and I don't even have the antennas in a good spot - one TV is in a window barren
-
It turns out that the optimal spot on the wall is not directly behind something else.

Our house is in a difficult spot for TV reception (despite being only 11 miles from the TV towers)
