This was a terrific solution for my office which has beautiful thick carpeting
They are smooth and protect the floor (carpet) perfectly, and for glass mats, they were reasonably priced.

I wanted a smooth rolling chair mat for our ultra plush carpet and this nailed it; however, it is slippery with standard casters, maybe rubber ones would slow it down, also a bit cold in the winter time and it stands out a bit against the carpet

Although the shipping box was beat up, the product was undamaged; no chips, cracks, or marks
It still seems like a good product, and it looks nice in my home office.
I do think people should be aware that this product is not really ideal for hard floors, but in my experience, does work great with some support underneath.
I was a bit concerned as my chair rolls over the edges and maybe damaging the glass but another shopper said it was not an issue and it is not
Since this is 1/4" tempered glass, I imagine that any irregularity in surface level that would be out of plane could seriously stress the glass
This is basically a flexible glass that will bend when you walk or roll on it
When I purchased my office chair about a year ago, I replaced the OEM wheels with roller-blade casters and, coupled with the smooth as silk glass mat, you couldn't ask for anything better.

I'm glad I did, not only does it look a whole lot better than a translucent plastic mat, and a whole lot more durable, but also has a very smooth rolling when on it
The mat itself has stay put, but the top is slick and my chair rolled too easily.

Very nice chair mat except it was received with the corner chipped.
The chair glides across it effortlessly - no bumps or rolls as with plastic mats.
Ended up getting the Cleartex polycarbonate one and it was a good compromise, it blended better with the carpet, chair rolled well and it didn't divot, also less expensive.
It is clear so it's a low profile in the room unlike most cloudy or dark plastic chair mats
