So this is a nice little radar detector for the price, however the first one I got malfunctioned a few months after I purchased it

I don't like this detector as it constantly gives me false alarms, thus making it impossible for me to tell when there is a real speed trap ahead

But photo radar was discontinued, and I have a few long highway trips to make, so I decided to get an inexpensive detector to help avoid tickets

If you need a decent priced entry level detector that does the job day in and day out

In my mind, that means it does the job just as well as any Escort radar detector or product that costs far more.

Traveling on I-10 east of I-75 in northern Florida the detector was generated warnings almost constantly for ~50 miles.

I don't blame the detector as my car is a 13 year old stick shift.6

I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable detector.

the detector works fine some small false alerts well the thing is only doing its job if you go into Aldi

I love my radar detector a lot, but there are a couple bands that this apparently don't pick up on.

Detector works fine, but the included cord is FAR too short -- keeps yanking the scanner right off the dashboard, which reminds me that the velcro fastener (included in package) is ineffective, as are the suction cups.

I purchased the Cobra XRS9370, largely because of the price and the reputation for being a good budget detector

The second set lasted just over a month, they drop off the windshield the unit hit my floor selector and damaged the faceof the detector

3) X-band detection is irrelevant unless you drive in Ohio; 4) Ku-band detection is irrelevant unless you drive in Europe or Asia; and 5) even the best detectors cannot eliminate false alerts, and I saw little correlation between price and the complaints of false-alerting by reviewers

This unit also alerts to cars that arent patrol cars(new audies in particular)along with radar doors going through town even with city mode on, doesnt pick up red light cameras or any of that, also picks up other detectors like crazy(you get the occasional wave as they too get a response from their detector)

POP mode is VERY sensitive (as the manual says), and will get set off by newer cars with blind spot detectors or active cruise control (GMCs and Kias being the biggest culprits).

The detector was very easy to get up and running.

So the detector works and it alerted me in plenty of time to check my speed.
