I seem to get a lot of false readings, but hope to update this review when I use it long enough to really understand its behaviour.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because while in POP mode alert I did get some false readings on some vehicles while traveling on the interstate

I have had this product for over a year, and rarely use it because of the amount of false readings

This radar detector has false readings that you have to get used to but very helpful as it saved me from getting a ticket a few times already

and I have had very few (3 or 4) false readings in town and those are always in the same

I drive in the city and constantly picking up false readings

Also some newer cars have radar on them, so you get a lot of false readings

Horrible product soo many false readings and i passed by 3 cops and visually saw them pointing their radar guns at me and m device did not make a sound

Very poor range and way to many false readings

It gives me plenty of notice of the different bands, with no false readings

I had a whistler before this and it gave numerous false readings

It detects automatic door openers VERY well, but that isn't an issue once you see the patterns in what types of areas will give those false readings

problem being, if i were to be driving around a 70 degree corner, this detector wont pick it up until the patrolmans laser is either on me (too late) or right in front of me giving me only a few seconds to respond (makes the use of a radar detector pointless as you cant slow down from speeding that fast) i just had 2 seperate occasions this last wknd.... didnt alert until 1 or 2 seconds of seeing the sherriff.i literally about threw this unit out the window after that

This item doesn't really work as they indicate it does

The latch to remove the unit from the windshield mount is so far forward and stiff as to render it inoperable

Obviously and it goes without saying just make sure you're current with local laws about detectors as well as for bringing them onto military installations.
