I don't feel like it picks up many signals and whenever it does, its too late

It seems the only thing this detector is good for is picking up NON-STOP false signals.

This was giving false radar signal and was going off all the time

In each case, I picked up brief warnings several times before finally getting a continuous strong signal.

The detection beep is really loud and at times, when the signal gets hotter, it is really annoying

It will randomly spaz out when you are driving with no cops near by, sporadically blipping from 5 (meaning strongest signal) to 1 (weakest) and back and forth, or just going full out spaz-mode beeping at a "5" signal strength until it suddenly stops

It does give false signals when I'm near hotels and hospitals because of the automatic doors, but on the highway, it warns you a good mile and a half before YOU see the cop

If that is the case, I may have to find a unit that can somehow discriminate such signals.

I like I but got a ticket because the state cop did not turn his radar on until he was close to

problem being, if i were to be driving around a 70 degree corner, this detector wont pick it up until the patrolmans laser is either on me (too late) or right in front of me giving me only a few seconds to respond (makes the use of a radar detector pointless as you cant slow down from speeding that fast) i just had 2 seperate occasions this last wknd.... didnt alert until 1 or 2 seconds of seeing the sherriff.i literally about threw this unit out the window after that

This item doesn't really work as they indicate it does

The latch to remove the unit from the windshield mount is so far forward and stiff as to render it inoperable

Obviously and it goes without saying just make sure you're current with local laws about detectors as well as for bringing them onto military installations.
