I'm pretty good at spotting speed traps but picks up active radars very well.

I don't like this detector as it constantly gives me false alarms, thus making it impossible for me to tell when there is a real speed trap ahead

This device will give a false positive about half the time for me, but has also alerted me to every speed trap I've ever come across with ample warning distance; no regrets in this purchase, especially for the price.

Finds those camping cops very well in thier speed traps

This device could not detect any speed traps unless you get close to it, but then it'll be too late

only good thing it helped was it spotted a speed trap that I had not seen

However, after getting a ticket a mile from my office, in a place that my co-workers all consider to be a speed trap, I decided to get one just in case.

problem being, if i were to be driving around a 70 degree corner, this detector wont pick it up until the patrolmans laser is either on me (too late) or right in front of me giving me only a few seconds to respond (makes the use of a radar detector pointless as you cant slow down from speeding that fast) i just had 2 seperate occasions this last wknd.... didnt alert until 1 or 2 seconds of seeing the sherriff.i literally about threw this unit out the window after that

This item doesn't really work as they indicate it does

The latch to remove the unit from the windshield mount is so far forward and stiff as to render it inoperable

Obviously and it goes without saying just make sure you're current with local laws about detectors as well as for bringing them onto military installations.
