We started getting false alarms

For the price, good alarm system.

This system has more false alarms than anything on the planet

So far I haven't had any false alarms and that's quite good

The alarm was working fine for a month, but afterwards, hell broke lose and the alarm was going off at 3am

I linked my cars' "homelink" to the control panel to alarm/dis-alarm the system when I leave or return to the house

The indoor alarm is loud and piercing.

With that said, its a great alarm system

The price was really quite reasonable and thus far the alarm has performed well.

and I have not set outside siren yet just to ensure "false" alarms don't scare

I use this alarm system along side a remote access video surveillance system and between the two systems will be able to easily tell a false alarm (should one happen) from the real thing

I live in Florida and get afternoon sun in my front windows, which can get extremely hot, and it melted the glue on the adhesive backing on the window sensors on two windows, so when they fell off my metal window frames, alarm went off.

In the 3 or 4 months we've had the system, it has only given us two false alarms.

After just a few weeks of use I started to get false alarms.

This system makes a VERY LOUD chirp when you set or disarm the alarm

The alarm is loud

If I am away, the alarm WILL call me and then I can call the police....almost as good as an alarm co.

We have had four people respond to the one instance of the alarm going off (which was a false alarm caused by a neighbor) and they did so in a very timely fashion.

Had a couple of false alarms, even from the magnetic sensors alone

All the previous ones had problems with reception, false alarms, main panels that went haywire after a while, hours of time configuring each device and drilling holes for each device.

This system is very straight forward and highly recommended if you're on a budget yet want a good alarm system for peace of mind

We used an alarm company in our previous house, but didn't want to pay somebody for doing basically nothing except calling when we had a false alarm.

I prefer that, since it's more likely to be a false alarm at this stage, while we're getting used to it.

So far, we've had no unexplained false alarms (yes, we've forgotten to "disarm" prior to leaving in the AM or returning in the PM).

Had to enter it 4-5 times to disable alarm

The passive IR motion detectors are prone to false alarms

To me a local alarm with a loud siren and neighbors who are more than wiling to respond was better than police showing up 45 minutes after an intrusion

Since it is plugged into the base, I would say keep it where it can be near you to wake you (At home option allows you to keep all access points secure while turning everything else off so your not walking around setting off the alarm) or in the living room to scare the crap out of would be intruders and thieves

The motion detectors are somewhat sensitive to light (just like the instructions tell you) and may cause false alarms if you don't pay any attention to where you install them

Get some good 3M mounting tape and don't waste your time with the included tape.5
