Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (RR-212E-20PK-R2) CPU Cooler with PWM Fan, Four Direct Contact Heat Pipes

    • Heat sink is working great now that it has a fan that actually works.
    • I would recommend this to anyone on a budget wanting to upgrade there stock heat sink
    • The hold down bracket that goes over the heat sink contact is pretty unwieldy, so installing it while the case is vertical is very challenging
    • very nice and quite heat sink
    • The noise comes from the heat sink vibrating
    • I needed a cheap heat sink for temporary use while my
    • After figuring out the 'X' bracket settings, trial fit it and make sure you remove the clear plastic from the 'copper heat sink' before installing.
    • Instructions were a little vague and I couldn't figure out for the longest time how to make the screws move in their bearings (eventually figured out you just push on the bottoms of the screws upward, toward the heat sink, and just push them to where you need to be), so I was fumbling with this for a few hours and looking at different tutorial videos and such before I figured it out
    • This heat-sink shut down the heat issue entirely!!
    • The heat sink was easy to install and the fan is fairly quiet
    • Omg this heat sink was was bigger than my stock for the cpu
    • Didn't feel this was worth removing a star over as the heat sink far exceeded my expectations of what an air cooler should do
    • The underside of the Cooler Master fin stack directly interferes with the heat sinks AND the installation of a second set of 3200 Memory sticks that fortunately I did not have installed
    • Not so easy and intuitive to install, ended up scraping my finger due to sharp edges on the metal heat sink.
    • My only qualm with this heat sink is that it's kind of a pain to install
    • There's a metal X looking adjustable crossbar that can be frustrating to install as it's loose and the heat sink can move around while you're trying to bolt it to the board.
    • Let me start off by warning people about the size of this heat sink.
    • The heat sink was easy to install and the fan is fairly quiet
    • I would say to check your case clearances because the heat sinks are very tall and don't fit in my case
    • When fully mounted, the heat sink moves around
    • It has a HUGE heat sink that will sit perpendicular to your CPU, so make sure your case has the space to install
    • Sadly the cooling fan that came with the heat sink failed within 48 hours of install
    • very nice and quite heat sink
    • Heat sink is working great now that it has a fan that actually works.
    • There is a small indention in the x bar that is suppose to catch a small pin coming out of the heat sink
    • I could have kept the old heat sink and probably just put new thermal paste on with a new fan; however; the heat pipes may lose their pressure over time and thus are less effective as dispersing heat and allowing it to be dissipated in the aluminum heat sink
    • The only problem I found was that during the installation and alignment of the x-clamp that holds the heat sink to the chip was that the heat sink has a tendency to shift and slide around
    • I touch the heat sink and barely feel anything lukewarm
    • In fact, this is the second one I bought because with the first one I lost some of the screws and ended up bending some of the fins on the heat sink trying to get it on
    • Although, only 4 stars because the title says LED but this has NO LED’s on it.
    • Its good i overcloked i7 6700k
    • I dread ever having to put new thermal paste on since I have to deal with getting the damn mount back on every time
    • i-7 4790K was thermal throttling at 100c with a normal load, and idled at 70c
    • I'm using it to cool an i5-8600K
