The fans no longer strain as hard as before when running 2 trading platforms simultaneously while the operating temperature seems to be lower overall so these were a worthwhile addition upgrading from 4 to 16

This is a very inexpensive upgrade for the amount of performance increase editing video and audio.

Mostly I did the upgrade because parallels ran win 7 64 bit like a dog when i only had 4gb - runs much smoother now.

All that aside, this is a great upgrade if you want to give your older MacBook Pro a performance boost, especially for the price.

Cosmetically my computer looks like new and my battery life is still decent so this was a welcome upgrade for a relatively small amount of money ($300 is cheaper than a new computer)

I found mixed reviews about the Corsair, but overall all hardware components fail at some time and some systems just reject the upgrade

4g is really frustrating even for the average user just browsing the internet and checking email

The specs say the max ram supported is 8G, but 16G works fine and I am never swapping now

I have both and there is a distinct difference - nevertheless - this product works as it should and makes a noticeable difference in speed from the 4g I upgraded from.
