The heat dissipaters are big had trouble installing cooling the cpu cooling fan other than that are great.

So far this memory is great install on a Intel Desktop Motherboard BOXDZ77GA-70K, with a Intel Core i7-3770K Quad-Core Processor 3.5 GHz overclocking with no problem

Just installed them and they are working like a charm to full capacity on my new MOBO, the speed is great and very easy to install

They are running in dual channel at 1333MHz right now, but will need some time to setup my bios to bump up the speed to 1600MHz.

It is now the 5th business day since Corsair received the defective item and they still have not shipped the replacement nor sent a message to me

got the ram on 7/1/15 took me till 8/8/16 to get all the parts needed for new pc thanks to a really good friend gifting me some of the parts <3but it seems to be working really good,alittle upsetting about the price changes over year or so of working on

that may have a smaller heat sink and would probably fit better in your alienware x51

the heat sinks are a bit tall and press up against my heat sink, but works like a charm!

The heat sinks look great and has actually dropped the memory temp compared the heatspreaders on the previous memory

The heat sinks keep em cool, around 97F ish idle and 115F with load, such as gaming or running ram heavy apps

so if you have a large heat sink it will be hard to install or may be impossible to install

My old RAM died on me, so without hesitation I went straight for the Corsair Vengeance.

Of all the bells and whistles on my computer, the second 16G of RAM is probably the least useful.

I play games and run VMs/IDEs and honestly 16G would have been fine

Removed these bad boys from my computer and formatted the computer again

With these bad boys my memory leak issues on swtor are a thing of the past, i mean they are still there, but with these 16gbs of memory it does not matter, 12 hour playing session, yes I took breaks to eat, but stayed in game, ran 2 operations, 1 flash point, and did alot of solo leveling on an alt, zoning, visited 5 different planets sometimes twice or thrice ( stupid run me around stupid quests ), not a single hiccup, not a single crash because of that "previously" annoying memory leak

These bad boys work as advertised no DOA, or defects

Anyhow the issue was that these bad boys became faulty and was causing a conflict in the motherboard

If you're a designer like me, get another pair of these bad boys, you can never have too much RAM!

A bit pricey, but that seems to be the pattern for memory these days.

don't know what it is, but I have always had bad luck with Corsair products

I just did not have the same luck that other reviewers had, or possibly I missed something

I have had better luck with Ballistix RAM and wouldn't recommend this to beginners (or people that wouldn't be confident testing their RAM).
