Gives my full recommendation if you are looking for something with solid OC potential and RGB lighting
1st Major Cool looking if you're using a case where your memory is visible and colors / rotation are customize-able using Corsairs utility available on their website
And finally, I absolutely LOVE the look of the bit-addressable RGB, so many awesome things can be done with it
I really do feel like while these are nice looking, idk if it was wise to buy these in retrospect
And have some of the best looking LEDs I've seen in RAM.
Beautiful rgb and quality ram with good speeds for the price.
Awesome, easy to install, good colors and nice build quality.
THIS RAM I'D AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL, I literally can't think of anything to complain about here, another amazing corsair product, high speeds, aestheticly gorgeous, and good quality material.
High quality feel and performance just like all other Corsair products.
The performance is top notch and the build quality is amazing
I have had no problems with it (all recognized perfectly by my motherboard and OS), and the LEDs look great
’d be dim, with lame colors, or such
The LEDs look cool, the RAM worked out of the box, and I've got them overclocked to 3200 without any issues so far.
The LEDs are crisp and beautiful, and the soft rainbow pattern that they have out of the box is absolutely mesmerizing
The kit I got is certainly not Samsung B-die, you can check yourself based on Thaiphoon Burner; mine is v5.32The heat sink actually does something, surprisingly, and the LEDs are vibrant and beautiful
No matter; with Ryzen Dram Calculator safe settings for profile v2 Samsung B die two bank memory @ 3200, 3333, and 3400 100% error free in MemTest and the computer always posted the first time, hot or cold, and no odd display signal behavior
System wouldn't even boot, only gave blue screens referencing bad MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and corrupt files (caused by bad hardware); since my system worked prior to the second set (at least some of the time) and 100% of the time with the Dominator Platinums, this made it plainly obvious that the new (second set) of DIMMs was the problem
The memory works fairly well with ASUS Aura, but on a couple of the color schemes, they don't light up at all
(i don't know if my motherboard is the limiting factor or the memory itself, i don't have another DDR4 system to Test it)Nice RBG, the colors can be controled with software!
I plan on fighting it as it is very expensive memory and should not die after just over a month.
Love the RGB lighting and these cards are crazy fast (way faster than I need for ETH mining realistically).
As of now, my memory is stuck on an old light profile and worse yet are no longer in sync so it looks even worse
The RGB LED lighting is far more brighter than what is offered on the G Skill Tridentz RGB RAM and with the Corsair Link, I am able to customize the brightness and colors without any issues
However the lights are nice... but no amount of LEDs can boost the speed of this ram.
Beware, the power to the ram does not stop when the computer is asleep, so the lights stay on.
Others would say more speed is better, however if you want this for an Intel build, sure
If you're not comfortable with overclocking and overvolting, I'd go with a lower speed setup, like 3200 or something, since it's easier to hit those speeds without adjusting voltages
Beautiful rgb and quality ram with good speeds for the price.
I wish there was some way to disable the led’s without windows
but I am not sure why, it has worked great for me with several different corsair products.
A module does not work with XMP profile in any bank of the motherboard, the other one works well
Used this in a EVGA Z270 Classified K and it worked well
The build quality is typical of Corsair (great), lights are bright and easy to manipulate using software (works with my GIGABYTE RGB Fusion Software) and offer the typical RGB color gamet
There are no power connectors needed, just seat them as normal and the LED's work
Bottom line: at a premium price point for lighting aesthetics (I could get cheaper/faster RAM that doesn't light up), the lighting should work as advertised and it currently does not
’d be dim, with lame colors, or such
Works as advertised, no overheating or stability issues (not overclocked, just running at rated frequencies).
Works great, the software works as advertised no complaints best RGB ram available IMO...
I wish there was some way to disable the led’s without windows
I had a brand new build that included an Asus Rampage VI Extreme, however, this board apparently doesn't support a setting that's needed in order to control the lighting
I wish there was some way to disable the led’s without windows
Hopefully I just got a bad set and can update this review once I get the replacement.
My last set of RAM from another brand had randomly died, and this fixed my motherboard from not posting.
