CORSAIR CX Series, CX600, 600 Watt, 80+ Bronze Certified, Non-Modular Power Supply

    • just got mine, and of course like the capability of only adding the cables i need, as far as the PSU goes it worked fine not like others have problems at times
    • I love the modular design and black cables as well.
    • Those damn cables, they are too thick, they are too rigid, with an ITX build, had to use 2 of the PCI-E cables as it was impossible to bend/attach things with only one cableCables are so thick that I was worried they could damage the connections if they flexed, nothing happened thoGiving the PSU 4-Stars, to nudge Corsair to develop more agile sleeved cables, maybe individually sleeved/exposed cables could be better, these ones are sleeved all together, the sleeving might be
    • Aside from seemingly short lifespan the modular cables made cable routing pretty easy; it made removing it pretty easy as well.
    • Love the modular cables
    • Also, it comes with more than enough cables for my build
    • The only issue I have is that the cables are a bit stiff, so it's hard to organize them properly
    • The fully modular design allows just the cables I need to be plugged in, reducing potential disruptions in airflow caused by unnecessary cable clutter
    • stiffThe included cables are very stiff and rigid and it makes cable management a pain.
    • Nice braided cables, a excellent feel to it
    • Only drawback are the cables are very strong so bending them or making the cables fit in a tight space can be a challenge.
    • I opted to purchase sleeved cables from Cable Mod to rectify the length, and look badass.
    • The modular cables make it easy to avoid messes of cables in the computer
    • It comes with screws, cable ties, semi-helpful instructions and specs, and more cables than you're likely to need
    • The PSU comes with two separate velvety bags to protect the PSU and the provided cables
    • quiet, black cables, what more does one need?
    • My only complaint is that the cables are a bit stiff and rigid, making it difficult to build in a small form factor case
    • This PSU is designed for small form factor cases which are notoriously difficult to route cables in, more flexible cabling would greatly help this issue.
    • I had to use the ugly cable that was included with this PSU for it to plug in
    • While not as good as custom length cables, they do lend themselves to cable routing/management inside my Silverstone SG13.
    • I had no problems installing it and finding the correct cables.
    • The consolation was the excellent cables that came with this kit and the ability to use the Corsair software diagnostics to monitor the power supply while in use.
    • The matte black finish, black-sleeved cables and black connectors help give the system build or upgrade a restrained, high-tech look
    • Came with good cabling
    • I think most people don't care or they prefer the black cables
    • My PSU and my case are both Corsair, so it is not as if they are unaware of how long this cable needs to be to do proper cable management.
    • My only issue with it is the cables are stubborn and hard to work with, wished they were individually sleeved and not ribbon style.
    • Excellent product so far, all the cables and connectors are solid and the PSU is well built
    • great cables, excellent design. love it!
    • It has a durable construction and strong cables, with a grated fan and a metal case
    • The construction is solid, the cables are super nice, and they even print the model logo the correct side up when you face the fan downward (which you should always do with the exhaust fan
    • but I had individually sleeved cables already routed through my system and the 24 pin would not work with this psu
    • The modular cables that came with the PSU are very rigid and hard to work with in a small case, I ended up replacing them with a sleeved set from modDIY.com
    • The cables are terrible especially considering this is an SFX supply intended for cramped cases
    • It has sufficient cables for my needs with plenty left over for future expansion.
    • This is all very impressive packaging but I will probably only keep the cable bag for the neatly, twist-tied cables
    • After wasting a few hours troubleshooting, I narrowed the problem down to a bad SATA power cable that came with the PS
    • and I really had to press the cables into the ports to secure them in there, but I won't take away from that.
    • But like most Corsair products, the cables are comprised of exposed PVC
    • The PSU worked right out of the box, the modular cables always a welcome addition
    • The 24pin cable is very hard to bend and hard to route, the sata connectors are facing the opposite way from the sata connectors on the ssd/hdd so you have to turn the cable connectors to get them to fit, so if you have all the drive slots used up like me in the case you can only reach the drive above the psu bracket, the one in front of the psu OR just the 2 slots on the gpu bracket (keep in mind the sata cables have 4 connectors they are that short because of the way they face)
    • I've attached some photos to show how nice the cables look once installed
    • It was just as hard getting the other end of the cables to plug into the PSU itself (which is why I blame the cable)
    • Great product, easily installed, love the paracord cables as well.
    • It comes equipped with enough cables to power up most gaming PCs
    • The only complaint that I have against it is that the cables is not long enough for a Mini ITX case which use ATX PSU
    • The cables are nice and short.
    • While the flat cables were great to work with, they were pretty stiff
    • Nice cables that are easy to move around and tie down, came with tie down cables
    • The only issues I have with this(along with almost everyone) is the cables flat out suck
    • May have issues fitting all the excess cables and it does have the factory smell still lingering.
    • I like the modular cables so you don't have to tuck and hide the molex cables you don't need.
    • It helped me to find correct cables to connect to the new power supply
    • The cables are far too stiff for my tastes though.
    • Thanks Corsair for including great looking cables in this kit.
    • Good:+Mostly quiet,+Has cables for most people,+Cheap,+Flat modular cables
    • Like any decent, modern power supply, it has modular cables (you only attach the cables you need
    • Very long and rigid modular cablesCorsair has a real opportunity here to improve this product by including an SFX to ATX bracket and changing their cables out for more flexible sleeved cables
    • The semi modular design is great, reducing the cables means more air flow and also less to deal with trying to run useless cable through the management slots
    • The internal cables are the best I've seen -- long enough to reach the corners of a large case, and with nice connectors
    • The cables are easy to route
    • They also provide several cables for GPU, SATA, and molex, so no issues in regards to plugs
    • Individually paracorded cables looks very nice and clean
    • I stuck this in my corsair carbide spec 02 case because reviews said the case didn't have the best cable management
    • Pros:Long cables for large cases
    • Worked great after installation, the modular cables make cable management very easy
    • Worked great after installation, the modular cables make cable management very easy
    • It's great, it runs silent and has enough cables for everything you want to plug in
    • This is all very impressive packaging but I will probably only keep the cable bag for the neatly, twist-tied cables
    • They are made of stiff black plastic, and some are ribbon shaped, which is a bit harder to work with and looks less tidy (circular cables can be tied easily in a tube shape, but the ribbon ones are flat and wide)
    • If you are wondering what cable is missing, I needed an 8 pin connector for my motherboard
    • The fully modular design allows you to use whatever cables you would like for a custom build, and while 750w isn't an extreme amount of power, it's more than enough for most standard consumer PC builds
    • The modular cables that came with the PSU are very rigid and hard to work with in a small case, I ended up replacing them with a sleeved set from modDIY.com
    • The modular cabling is always awesome, allowing you to use exactly the cabling that is required without crowding your case.
    • The cables are the worst however
    • Clean looking psu with really weird separately sleeved cables
    • It's small and compact, but the cables are a little lacking
    • But cables are very hard so if you need to bend it then you will face to hell.
    • My only gripe would be the modular cables, as Corsair has practically made them proprietary in connection to the PSU with their added sense wires
    • The only other thing I would say is the way the cables are setup they do not go in and out of the back of the plugs, instead they go through it top to bottom, so if you have multiple plugs that need to go almost directly on top of eachother (think 2 SSD's right on top of eachother) then these cables are not exactly the easiest to use, still possible but not as easy.
    • Use only the cabling you need, really nice.
    • so you have better cable management and airflow without a lot of unused wires taking up space.
    • 12 Essentials Burning Software + Sata Cable
    • My only issue with it is the cables are stubborn and hard to work with, wished they were individually sleeved and not ribbon style.
    • Quiet, Nice cable management, consistent power.
    • cables are very stiff, shorter than normal cables but still too long
    • I upgraded from a 500 watt evga bronze PSU after my 8700k upgrade and while the 500w evga was probably enough, I wanted something modular for cleaner cable management and the all black cables of this PSU were also a huge plus as they're much nicer looking than the mustard and ketchup colored ones of my old one.
    • This allows for very neat cable management
    • This thing packs a tight, quiet, efficient punch, but the cables kind of suck in my Ncase M1; way too long and stiff and a time consuming pain to find places to stuff the excess into such a compact space
    • All of the cables come attached to the supply so if you only are using a few components you will have extra cables laying idle in your computer.
    • plenty of headroom).Installation was perfectly easy and straightforward, and the fully modular cabling was, as always, neat and tidy.
    • The other cables are all working
    • Also, my case way cleaner with all the detachable cables
    • Besides the power cables for your motherboard, it also comes with enough cables for your graphics card and sound card, if you have both
    • Comes with very nice white cables with caps to reduce ripples, and they look like custom made cables
    • Also, the cables are great.. the flat design makes them very easy to tuck away.
    • But the price of this extra perfection is stiffer cables.
    • This white psu gives you a nice look and you don't need a psu shroud if you plan and cable manage well.
    • So have fun redoing your cables.
    • This PSU is designed for small form factor cases which are notoriously difficult to route cables in, more flexible cabling would greatly help this issue.
    • I got this because it had well over whatever wattage was recommended for my build, but the cables are nice, easy to maneuver and manage
    • So, now I never trust power connections and cables to be identical.
    • Everything about the RM series is luxurious - braided cables, smooth and precise build, attractive branding and text prints, zero RPM mode, inputs to test the PSU, and the corsair link software for psu monitoring
    • 50% of these get hot at the connections and burn or melt cables the other 50% work just fine cables remain cool
    • The only knock I have against it are the cables that you have to use, but that is a nitpick compared to reliability
    • the cables are so stiff and difficult to get into place!!
    • Enough cables, silent and powerful enough for anything you want to put in your case.
    • It’s modular design made it easier for me to hide unattractive cables behind the cases back panel
    • Those damn cables, they are too thick, they are too rigid, with an ITX build, had to use 2 of the PCI-E cables as it was impossible to bend/attach things with only one cableCables are so thick that I was worried they could damage the connections if they flexed, nothing happened thoGiving the PSU 4-Stars, to nudge Corsair to develop more agile sleeved cables, maybe individually sleeved/exposed cables could be better, these ones are sleeved all together, the sleeving might be
    • The flat cables are easy to work with and have a decent variety for lots of components
    • The wires serving the various devices are separate, and plug into the back of the power supply as needed, so you don't have loose cables lying about.
    • All unimportant cables are modular
    • Psu does its job and quietly, but the cables are awful
    • The cables aren't any more stiff than what you would find in other PSU's and normally that isn't a problem because in larger cases you have more room to work
    • I looked around and asked Corsair, but no shorter cables are available unless you venture into the very expensive niche of custom cables.
    • I have some nice braided blue cables in my case already that would not plug into this new PSU for the graphics card portion which is right on the side, so it ruins the aesthetic when looking through the glass panel
    • Excellent product, love the white cables, makes it look elegant
    • The cables that came with this PSU are much nicer than the ones that came with my last $50+ PSU
    • The cables are also somewhat stiff, and a have sleeves so manipulating them is also not that easy
    • The cables were very easy to install
    • I have had no problems with it at all, and due to its detachable cable features, the interior case environment is uncluttered by unused cables.
    • The cables aren't great
    • The cables it comes with already look good
    • Decent included cables?
    • Everything is good, but I found the included cables to be... excessively stiff.
    • Zalman ATX Mid Tower Case R1 (Nice looking case, provides room for everything, adequate cooling and allows good cable management).2
    • What I didn't like about this were the cables
    • More than enough cables.
    • Except for the special cables that came with capacitors inside, causing the cable to be extremely stiff and difficult to adjust in the case
    • Plenty of long-enough (600-760mm = 23"-30") sleeved cables/connectors:1 24-pin ATX1 8-pin EPS + ATX 12V2 8-pin PCI-E2 with 3 connectors each (in series) for SATA1 with 4 4-pin connectors (in series) for peripheralsPower cord is 56" not counting the connectors.
    • Once there, my biggest issue is adding cables I forgot (or ones I didn't need at the time).
    • You can feel the quality in this PSU: nice, thick, well-insulated cables, sturdy case, just
    • Sadly there are no 24-pin cables compatible with it yet,
    • 600 watts, Gold efficiency and all black flat cables
    • The PSU comes with many cables and has nearly all detachable cables so this makes things much easier to work with
    • The cables are nice and long, and there are plenty of connectors on each one
    • But then I learned about modular, and realized that I also wanted to have great cable management
    • Enough cables come to fulfill the needs of most people
    • Beautiful cabling, efficient power usage, wont BURN your house down
    • The cables are perhaps a bit stiff, but that didn't really pose any problems (and you only wire it up once, so it's not like you ever have to deal with it again).
    • Also the cables it came with are very stiff
    • Easy to set up, nice cable management, and quiet
    • Pros; feels solid/well built, silent operation at low/med load, lots of features/cables/outputs, nice flat cables make for good airflow, Corsair Link control available, seems to be a good value for the quality/features provided
    • The old 2006 PSU had all different plugs on it so the old cables are not compatible
    • My only complaint is the cables are a bit too stiff for my liking, which in a small form factor case (which is probably why you're getting this) can pose problems
    • The included cables are a little short as well, but that should not be an issue in a small form factor case, which is what most people will use this in
    • The short version: this thing is dead silent, is beefy - feeding a 650 draw machine, and built to last - I trust these cables and this build quality
    • Modular cables are great.
    • I was frankly biased to this maker to ensure compatible cable lengths for my unusual case choice
    • Go with EVGA, much better cables at least!
    • great power supply for custom builds it is not moulder though so have a case that is good for cable management if you like to have a net case it doesn't really matter i guess but all the cables are sleeved and its just a great
    • I have a windowed case and the chained part of the cable is too long and the +2 pins are dangling around, which looks dirty.-Not enough single cables
    • I found the supplied cable moderately hard to work with , one the have capacitor soldered in each line with shrink tube halfway between each end of the cable, two the cable combs are very difficult to seat into the cabling
    • There are custom cables available from Corsair specifically for this psu
    • but I cannot bear the annoying coil whine and the awful cables it comes
    • Only thing I would change would be to have a fully modular PSU, but the extra cables fit fine in the bottom of my mid tower and don't interfere with airflow at all
    • While this is a modular PSU, the cables are stiff and hard to route it in the case, so be careful with cable management
    • I would very much prefer seperate cables for 6 pin and 8 pin, and have 2 of them instead of a single chained one
    • For example, when putting my system under a heat stress test, at idle 30 C, it put out a max of 748w
    • Everything works as it should, I find it very useful to be able to measure the consumption of the PC in real time, efficiency, each voltage and its temperature
    • Unfortunately, the product does not look as good as in the pictures (only leaving this because the flat cables it is shown with were one of my primary reasons of buying)
    • My power supply started smelling as if some electronic was burning after about a year
    • I actually prefer this over braided designs as it is much faster to reach a nice looking result - less need to tie things down
    • It works as except.
    • Works as it should.
