I have had corsair void wired headphones for 2 years and still no problems other than wanting some wireless

The software is technically optional, as the headphones will work without the additional software, but if you don't install it, you would not be able to adjust the tone or certain features of the HS70.

Overall i think these headphones are a steal, would recommend to anyone trying to save a couple bucks at the cost of a little background noise pickup.
