So the cooler keeps running at full speed because it thinks the cpu is hot when its notand so it's really annoying

I am NOT giving this product 1 star, as the cooler failure didn't kill my CPU, the cooler (when working) is exceptional, and because corsair's technical support was rather good

Before this it ran very silent and did a great job at keeping my CPU cool while under heavy use

This thing is huge and will keep your CPU cool, I love how it plugs into your motherboard and lets you install a program to control fan speeds and see temperatures.

Read that as it is, GPU intensive applications don't draw the heat out nearly as bad as CPU intensive things (I.E. video encoding/transcoding and livestreaming).

I've used the v2 and the v1 for a few years and they both keep CPU at stock clocks cool enough...low to mid 60s under processor loads of around 60-65% while gaming.

I run a sandy bridge 2600k at the stock speed and it keeps my CPU temp between 27-32 degrees celsius, and when i used the ROG CPUID on my motherboard to stress the CPU it never went over 37 degrees celsius when the unit was set on the "quiet" mode

The fans worked (needs extra washers for them though as the long screws hold them floating and one started to rattle) the pump made zero noise and had zero vibrations as well as no feeling of heat on it or the pipes with a hot CPU

The Antec H20 1250, at full speed, idles the same CPU at 46C and goes to 77C under the exact same heavy load.

I do not recommend this product if you are bothered by loud noise or want a cool cpu.
