The surface is slightly more rough than I expected but not a huge issue, it gives more control to your mouse in FPS games.

If you play games that aren't twitch shooters or prefer to play with lower DPM mice for more precision, I cannot recommend the extended version highly enough, If you don't need the extended version, I'd still recommend getting a shorter version of the same pad, as the surface is hands down the best i've ever used

The top surface is soft, and the whole thing feels really well made

It does seem well made otherwise, the surface is like a smooth mousepad material and the edges are stitched.

It's not going to make you an elite FPS sniper in your favorite PC shooter or anything like that, but it does provide a comfortable surface for both mouse and keyboard.

I would recommend the extended size only if you have a rough surfaced desk and would prefer the feeling of a mouse pad under your typing hand as well because this is simply too big to be used as a mouse pad alone.
