CORSAIR Obsidian 500D RGB SE Mid-Tower Case, 3 RGB Fans, Smoked Tempered Glass, Aluminum Trim - Integrated Commander PRO Fan and Lighting Controller

    • Ultimately, the 7000 was too expensive and the 5810 didn't have enough hard drive bays
    • There is ample room for fans, for disk drives, hard drives, and solid state drives
    • The PSU box has lots of space to hide your cables and a vertical cover on the back side allows you to hide cables running up to the front power panel, hard drives, or to the other side of the case
    • Tons of roomModular (hard drive bays)designvery quiet fanscable managementCons
    • Regular size Hard Drive bays
    • I use SSD slots on the wire side and removed the hard drive bays to allow for better air flow.
    • The other complaint I have is that the hard drive drawers are made from plastic as well
    • So you don't have to waste money or time on chassis for the SSD to fit in normal hard drive slots
    • As we slowly move away from the need for large mass hard drives, the drive cages will slowly stop being so much of a problem for most
    • I removed one of the hard drive mounts to adhere these items to the case
    • Great airflow, lots of room for hard drives, fans and everything else that you might want to put it in.
    • Looks awesome, but makes me feel like I don't have enough hard drives as there are many
    • The Corsair Obsidian 750D is definitely lightweight and budget and it shows when assembling, the drive bays are flimsy- you can easily bend the thin metal with your fingers, and the plastic drive retainers are sloppy and thin and made with what appears to be poor quality materials, this unit will rattle and vibrate for sure which is bad for hard drives
    • I mounted a 5TB in the provided hard drive caddy and screwed it in on the bottom near the front of the machine.
    • *the one on the airflow editionAlso had to move drive bays from side to side setup to stacked to keep drives cool.(I could of placed a fan between the drive bays to add more
    • SSD clips and hard drive bays are flimsy thin screw stripping soft sheet metal.
    • Since then, 2 different hard drive plastic housing sleeves have broken
    • Most everything is toolless install (Hard drive trays, side panels, bay drives)
    • Hard drive mounting is the the best
    • has slot hidden in the back for those of you who like stacking SSD's and it keeps them out of view keeping your build looking clean- Drive cages are conveniently place for those of you with lots of HD's- Open air for excellent airflowCon- Drive cages are not all removable which is really inconvenient for those of you looking to use that space in the front for water blocks or any other customization in the front
    • The Hard Drive quick install bays are awesome and because of it's pseudo-modular design nearly everything can be moved or rearranged depending on your particular needs
    • Hard drive (HDD) install is sloppy.
    • The hard drive cans didn't feel secure
    • Overall I found the 750d Airflow to be a quality that was in typical cases I owned in the 90's that led me to higher end cases:Extremely flimsy plastic hard drive cages, you actually bend the plastic to insert the HD and it remains loose and has lots of movement
    • The hard drive bays are easily configured to each person's build style or requirements
    • The the hard drive cages are removable in case you want to add a 240mm radiator onto the front panel (mine is mounted on the top)
    • The filter for the power supply that sits in its own little channel, and pulls up from the bottom out the back rattles A LOT because of the vibrations picked up by the bottom of the case from the hard drives in the bays at the front
    • No screws required for install of drives, nice feature.
    • This also has awesome cable management and it is very easy to install hard drives.. especially with the hard drive slots!
    • Front cover falls off Hard drive cases only fit drives with connectors on the inside end - extremely awkward
    • GoldMemory - Corsair Dominator 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866MHzPrimary Hard Drive - Samsung
    • The 3.5" hard drive mounting brackets are great
    • As for the case itself, it's beautiful and large, it should have more than enough room for all my computer components as well as easy installation/replacement of SSD drives, hard drives, etc.
    • Good cable management and hard drive cages, and filters on everything important
    • If you have the corsair ax1200i you will have to remove one of the hard drive cages to make it fit(this requires removing 4 screws), personally this was not a problem for me as the case comes with the ability to install 4 SSDs in the back panel
    • Love the SSD hard drive bays being along the back side panel and so easy to install with the snap in modules
    • They look horrible if you put a res/pump combo in the front, as well as a DVD drive
    • I work both for Amazon, and my own enterprises from this office, so a noisy computer just will not work.- The 3.5" hard drive bays are a con
    • Specifically the drive bays and the tool free 2.5" drive setup.
    • The one on the left is the HDD light, and flickers when data is written to the hard drives, otherwise it's off
    • I was able to install water cooling, SLI'd Nvidia GTX 770's and three hard drives and still had a ton of expansion room left over
    • I was able to install water cooling, SLI'd Nvidia GTX 770's and three hard drives and still had a ton of expansion room left over
    • Good cable management and hard drive cages, and filters on everything important
    • It has 6 hard drive bays and an additional 4 or 5 SSD bays that don't require special mounting
    • The hard drive cages are modular as well, so you can take them out, or move them around.
    • That being said the Corsair Obsidian features plenty of room to house large motherboards, hard drives, and even SSD drives
    • Extremely spacious allows for between 6-10 hard drives, with room to purchase more cages
    • Pros:-LOTS of room-Removalable hard drive cage-LOTS of cable management tie downs/cut outs(grommeted)-Clean look-solid build construction-easy to clean/remove dust covers (top bottom and front)-dedicated SSD ( or any 2.5" drive) mounting brackets at the back-(Mostly) tool-less design-while there is
    • The removable drive cages, the SSD slots, the cable management, the large easy-to-work in space, dust filters, just amazing
    • But it makes working on it very easy, especially with the Hard drive and ssd slots that are tool free/secured by clips.
    • Awesome drive bays
    • The removable drive cages, the SSD slots, the cable management, the large easy-to-work in space, dust filters, just amazing
    • the case that I received had bent hard drive bays and the entire back plate was bent away from the interior of the case which made it impossible to line up the components in the PCI slots (Graphics card, network adapter)
    • I installed a ssd hard drive and removed the large hard drive cages to make a huge amount of space for wiring.
    • The case has so much space, you can even remove the hard drive cages for even more space
    • The hard drive cans didn't feel secure
    • One of the hard drive bays was bent and installed incorrectly, as a result the hard drive bay scratched the plastic window during shipment and now has a ton of scratches in front of the hard drive bays and is kind of annoying
    • Side panels come off and on easyCons:- May be hard to fit a 120+120 CPU cooler on front fans?- Hard drive bay housing seemed a bit flimsy
    • I have 5 SSds and 1 laptop hard drive in
    • my corsair 750d had problems that i fixed myself like the led's that show power and hard drive didn't
    • Looks awesome, but makes me feel like I don't have enough hard drives as there are many
    • The hard drive bays are removable and stack-able
    • Hard Drive - Intel 510 Series 120 GB SATA
    • I love the two stocked hard drive cages as I love to have a lot of data
    • )Only thing its missing in my opinion is casters, with full drive bays and a full water cooling
    • Pros --Big - enough room to put whatever you need in it-modular pieces, i was able to move the hard drives out from in front of the
    • The BadThe hard drive cages do not fit my HDD very well, the pinch points to remove the drive and cage touch the HDD so you can not remove them once you snap them into place
    • I moved my mobo in the case first and you can see how roomy the case is, also the hard drive slots are tool
    • It does require a little more dusting than a more traditional case, but the size allows for all kinds of upgrades, and it has so many Hard Drive cages
    • There is ample room for fans, for disk drives, hard drives, and solid state drives
    • Only thing I didn't like is no face panels for CD/DVD drives (you just remove their nice brushed metal face plates leaving your old/ugly drive faces visible (luckily mine are black and match the case).
    • Additionally, while there's nothing wrong with it yet, the hard drive cradles feel very cheaply made and easy to snap as well
    • or if you only use a couple hard drives you can remove a single rack
    • Ultimately, the 7000 was too expensive and the 5810 didn't have enough hard drive bays
    • Just get rid of the hard drive bays using a screwdriver if you don't need them
    • Crooked hard drive cages
    • It houses my large graphics card with ease and loads of trays for extra hard drives
    • m running four hard drives one ssd
    • But it has the hard drives mount backwards so that the backside is towards the glass
    • /s SSDSecondary Hard Drive - Western
    • Tool-less hard drive mounting and the side mounts for the SSDs is great
    • in the front I have a 2 x 140 60mm thick with plenty of room between the fans and the hard drive rack.
    • The side hard drive and SSD mounts are really nice in aiding cable management and also seeing which drive is where
    • So if you can't access the other side very well connecting drives will be difficult.
    • The removable hard drive trays were also very nice
    • Most notably the front and rear feet and behind the cover panels for the 5 1/4 drive bays up front and the hard drive and ssd drive bays, but they are colored exactly the same color as the rest of the tower and don't hurt the esthetic nor did they seem likely to break imo
    • With the case being modular, I was able to remove one of the two hard drive cages, which I'll be replacing with a new fan.
    • The top optical drive bays are not removable, if you don't plan on using them it is wasted space in the case
    • Any front mounted/top mounted DVD/optical drive will be recessed and not flush with the front of the case.
    • (if you have any)+ ergonomic design+ plenty of USB ports, watercool accessible, disk drives, and hard drives
    • Removing the hard drive cages gave me a huge palate to work with
    • lots of room in general that makes it easy to work in; flexible drive cages (accepts 3.5" and 2.5") can be mounted a number of different ways; 4x dedicated 2.5" bays tucked behind mobo tray in addition to the 6 main internal drive trays; big side window (not really my cup of tea, but since this case makes it easy to do such a nice wiring job it turned out to be kind of cool
    • an hard drives an plenty of room to work in an really good cable management
    • inside if you decide not to use hard drives (and go with SSD) then you can remove the racks
    • The hard drive mounting is good for ssd
    • My only complaint, and I don't see a reason to knock a star off for this, is the lack of a dust filter on the bottom of the case at the front, but since my hard drive cage is there, it is not a deal breaker for me
    • My favorite feature is that I absolutely love that I can take out all the hard drive cages since my system is 100% SSD
    • if I removed the second hard-drive tray I could fit a larger one there
    • The side hard drive and SSD mounts are really nice in aiding cable management and also seeing which drive is where
    • The additional 3.5/2.5 hard drive bays were awesome as well and easily configurable from 0 to 3 or 6 if you choose
    • The Front did not let in enough air to keep all my hard drives cool, so i ordered a new panel for airflow from corsair
    • -Fully featured front panel with USB 3.0 and a recessed reset button-Easy drive installation and mounting-Magnetic top
    • I took both hard drive cages out and use an Icy Dock 6 bay hot swap bay in one 5.25" drive bay http://www.amazon.com/DOCK-ToughArmor-MB996SP-6SB-6Gbps-Mobile/dp/B009I87Q2U/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1431312073&sr=1-1&keywords=icy+Dock+MB996SP-6SB
    • well I unboxed it and as soon as I took the case out you can see it and for a guy who likes
    • I put an Asus Rampage Extreme V with 2 980ti and still had plenty of space!
    • Transferred all my parts from a Thermaltake case the v 9 mid case , great improvement this case is
    • The large side window is nice with the ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z and all of the lights it has on the motherboard
