I just got a new 27" iMac (Late-2012) not too long ago, and didn't really need more memory, but after some research the deal was too good to pass up

So, it's a great deal

Not a massive deal, hence no ratings reduction, but be aware that you need a good deal of clearance over the RAM because of the heatsinks

Not to mention that the price compared to what Apple charges you is a good deal.
