This shortcut Corsair product relative to other memory cooling fan products of the past, they more properly designed, having so many improper engineering issues (mechanical, thermal), most all of which unnecessary if not forced compromises (Chinese mindset with Taiwanese being birds of the same feather) and design short cuts that as a collection of design considerations 15 years ago, was not an engineering issue with Corsair and others manufactures and to which, unethically pushed more and more upon customers today

It's relatively quiet; and keeps my overclocked memory nice & cool.
So you probably won't need this if you have decent cooling in your case
Keeping your modern machine cool can be a challenge these days with 16GB of Memory and a 4GHz Processor
This cooler, with a single, centrally located fan, does not provide effective cooling to the lower and upper (first and last) memory modules on the RAMM stick because the non vented (cheap manufacturing process) metal brackets that attach to the memory slots block the ends, thus inhibiting air from flowing out and away from heat retaining memory slots

Also, if you have a transparent case for showing off, this fan actually comes with three easily interchangeable faceplates - red, blue, and silver, so maybe you can match any color scheme you've got going on in there.
If your into viewable cases they look good on the board.

RAM doesn't really get hot unless your machine is getting stupidly overclocked and you're pushing the bleeding limit, but honestly at that point you're probably routing a water cooling block over your RAM on the way to everything else

Works great keeps my Ram Cool and it looks amazing and best of all is very compact
and I run a watercooled https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Extreme-Liquid-Cooling-CLW0224-B/dp/B00O08FWTM/ref=pd_sbs_147_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00O08FWTM&pd_rd_r=ZY471QQEGJB6FNEZPG6E&pd_rd_w=kF6lK&pd_rd_wg=CHS8A&psc=1&refRID=ZY471QQEGJB6FNEZPG6E for the CPU, but the RAM was the issue
I do believe two fans could have been fit into the shell if it were redesigned but it seems to keep the RAM cool with just one
This keeps my ram cool and i have better fps now, because my old one was going bad
However my unit did not come with enough screws to attach the vertical clips to support the fan above the ram.
However, I do not have enough space left on my Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI motherboard to add an aftermarket cooling fan for the processor because the bracket to the memory fan mounts too close to the processor.
Its okay if I really needed it, but I cant say ive seen anything wrong with it besides the arms being a tad flimsy (Not a fan of all plastic)
This is a good fan for a system that has great wire management and a lot of extra room.
This Corsair fan cooler has the ability to shift off center, to clear obstructions, like my cpu heat sink's fan
