My last set of RAM from another brand had randomly died, and this fixed my motherboard from not posting.

System wouldn't even boot, only gave blue screens referencing bad MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and corrupt files (caused by bad hardware); since my system worked prior to the second set (at least some of the time) and 100% of the time with the Dominator Platinums, this made it plainly obvious that the new (second set) of DIMMs was the problem

Hopefully I just got a bad set and can update this review once I get the replacement.

I had a brand new build that included an Asus Rampage VI Extreme, however, this board apparently doesn't support a setting that's needed in order to control the lighting

Great set of RAM and the RGB is fully controllable with Corsair Link Software.

I wish there was some way to disable the led’s without windows
