I checked everywhere, how did I miss all those boxes
-
Collecting all the Gems requires breaking all the boxes in all the levels, and you’re actually required to get through certain levels without dying
-
Not only has the save system been changed up, but in the original in order to go through a level perfectly you also had to smash every box on the first attempt
-
do you have to finish without dying (in the original game, you had to break every box and reach the end without dying in every level to get a gem)
-
Probably the worst prerequisite was breaking all the boxes in the bonus levels where you have to reach Dr. Cortex and Dr. N. Brio
-
Some of the enemy hit boxes are wonkier than I remember too, particularly in Crash 1, which makes getting the colored gem in that game (which still require a no-death run like in the original) more of a pain than need be in certain levels
-
but it's not quite as challenging as it once was, especially for those hoping to smash every box and collect every gem
-
Even more rewarding is Crash's reaction expression in the 100% ending, especially considering some levels task you to break every box WITHOUT DYING ONCE to earn a colored gem
-
My game has problems playing and some of the levels have glitches, like the boxes are just a white outline and you can't break them.
