Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy - PlayStation 4 Standard Edition

    • All three games play pretty much exactly the same in the N. Sane Trilogy as they did on the PS1
    • Now Activision and Vicarious Visions have brought us a remade collection of Naughty Dog’s original Crash Bandicoot trilogy for current gen systems in the form of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
    • I am not sure if its just years of being spoiled by easier games, or if there is an actual issue with the N. Sane Trilogy's mechanics, but something just feels off
    • Which brings us to the main complaint I share with other players playing this game: the N. Sane Trilogy is now much harder than the originals, Crash 1 being even more so than it's sequels
    • and I've already beaten the first two games on the N. Sane Trilogy twice without a single game over
    • Having played the original trilogy extensively, I can confidently say that the N. Sane Trilogy does true justice to its source material
    • ’s head to damage him, and when fighting Dr. N. Brio’s final stage, I vividly recall being able to damage him in the original game simply by jumping towards his head and spin attacking him, but in the N. Sane Trilogy, it wasn’t that straightforward
    • I have yet to have a Game Over in the N. Sane Trilogy
    • The original games were a lot more expressive than other PS1 games of the time, featuring some pretty advanced lip sync for their era, and the remaster team has taken that up a notch for the N. Sane Trilogy
    • The N. Sane Trilogy is a great-looking remake that plays pretty well
    • I seem to be the only person who widely praised the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
    • Now in the N. Sane Trilogy, if you fail a bonus level, you can just try again the second you respawn by stepping onto the warp platform that appears to take you to the bonus level
    • The N. Sane Trilogy though is an unplayable rage-inducing game that you can only really play in quick 20 min bursts
    • To sum up, if you loved Crash Bandicoot back in the day, like I clearly did, then the N. Sane Trilogy is most certainly worth getting, especially with the graphical facelift
    • Incidentally, these extra portals are located in the spots where Crash would have to save his game in the original PS1 version of the game…and the cutscene in the original game where Cortex explains the process of leaving one Warp Room to get to another was cut out of the N. Sane Trilogy
