Must be the passive radiator on the back

For anyone interested these use a passive radiator design on the back side and this probably contributes to their higher-than-expected performance

The passive radiator does help give that rumble feel considering the small size of the speakers

You can see the passive radiators on the back thumping as well

They are also a little more tinny than the cheap-o speakers they replaced
