Friends of mine use the jam box, which is a bit smaller and easier to tote naturally

Of course its a bit more bulky than the Charge and less portable and not as resistant to the environment as the Charge is

It's also a good bit less expensive than those though

Update: my box die a little bit after a year meaning it's out of warranty

I was a bit skeptical to here that this speaker would rival the Bose mini

It does begin to distort a bit at max volume, but they all will do that

I must admit I was a bit skeptical about it when I laid my hands on it

It is not a replacement for the Bose(tm) systems but it's very nice and a good bit cheaper

However in my opinion it is every bit as good

The highs distort a bit on the Jambox at higher volumes but are smooth on the other two

I could get picky and say that the digital recorder is a bit weak because you can't delete files using only the speaker controls

It's also a good bit less expensive than those though

Although, James Earl Jones does seem to have a bit of head cold with it (grins)

And the "ROAR" setting has a bit too much high frequency for my taste (background hiss on some songs), but the sound from it under normal configuration is still excellent

Once I ordered it, i will admit I was a bit skeptical because the reviews were so positive, but I am happy to say that it is by far the best portable speaker we have come across.
