It is a good little device

This speaker has many features including being able to charge your portable device using the USB port, play mp3, WAV and WMA files using the built-in microSD reader, support Bluetooth and NFC (near field communications) pairing and a 3.5mm Aux in plug.

Finally, a device like in "Patrick McGoohan's The Prisoner" where the houses have radios and TVs which can't be shut off because, after all, why would anyone want to shut them off

The Sound Blaster Roar seems to be a well built device with lots of features.

Initially I really gave this device a poor review because it did not work as a sound device for my computer as advertised

Indeed, it is a solid feeling and solid looking device that delivers as advertised

Besides that, it is a very versatile device allowing connectivity to almost every device and in a number of different ways.

It turned out that after 2 hours of running this device at a medium volume range the neighbor knocked the door and asked us to decrease the volume, that's when I knew I made a great buy.

I believe the devices is rated to run for about 8 hours or so before dying, however, as the battery drains, the max volume gets lower and lower as it plays

Pairing via Bluetooth is a piece of cake, and it is especially easier if you have an NFC-capable phone or device

You can connect the device with the microSD directly to the computer to manipulate the data on the SD card

I've been a fan of quality sound for years and have had difficulty finding devices that live up to that standard.

Tried with both Apple and Android phones, this creative device for no reason loses connectivity with the phone and songs break while playing and this happens even when the phone is lying next to the Creative Roar
