Forget what you may think you know about portable one-piece wireless speaker systems, the Creative Sound Blaster Roar represents a sea change in what will now be expected of products in its class

If you want a unit to carry around in your purse or bag look at the Jambox mini if you don't mind somthing larger about half the size of a tissue box then get the roar and enjoy full spectrum sound

The internal components while essentially the same power-wise, have upward firing tweeters and subwoofer so that you can now set the Roar 2 on its side or lay it flat

Additionally, whether my desktop computer falls asleep, or my laptop computer falls asleep, the USB sound card remains in Windows yet the Roar is completely silent

and I highly recommend the Roar to anyone looking for a portable bluetooth speaker.

I tested a similar speaker from Bose but feel the Creative Sound Blaster Roar has much more to offer for the price.
