Good starting instrument.

I found this to be a simply fantastic instrument for the student, quite probably one of the best offered.

On the other hand, I know that poor quality instruments make drop-out even more likely

While this certainly isn't the worst instrument, and considering what the outfit contains it is probably worth the asking price, it was still very disappointing.

The instrument only really had two flaws, one is that they stained the neck with an ugly, semi-sticky stain that made it uncomfortable to play, but that could easily have been sanded off.

For a Student is an excellent instrument

I highly highly recommend this instrument.

Again, in this context, this is a very good instrument, especially after some time of regular playing to get it to open up.

All in all a good buy, definitely not an instrument for the professional, but as a starter violin this one is perfect!
