Eyelet setters come in at least 3 flavors: (1) the pliers style (like the Crop-A-Dile), (2) the hammer and punch style e.g. the Darice Eyelet Setter (which requires the use of a hammer) and (3) the punch style (which requires NO hammer) e.g. Friskars Eyelet Punch Setter.---The Crop-A-Dile has worked very well for me
