First impressions were good, however the nice looks and sturdy build quality couldn't make up for disappointing sound quality

(I was able to reduce the tracking force to 2.5g), and the built-in Audio Technica cartridge is much easier on records than the ceramic cartridges normally found in portable turntables.

I expected the built-in speakers to sound average or 'just good enough' for casual listening, however I wanted to use this with headphones so the built-ins didn't matter to me
