I prefer the fine point.

This is the most frustrating ball-point refill that I have ever dealt with.

The conical point is not machined smooth

The fine point writes first time every time.

I get better performance from a Pilot G2 Extra fine point gel pen - two for under $3.

The point is too scratchy and not comfortable.

The broader, smooth writing point enhances the appearance of my writing and is easier to see.

In my opinion the fine point not only makes my tightly scrawled script more legible, but it also seems to have greatly reduced writing fatigue

I've had my Cross pen for over 20 years and found that for my sttyle of writing, the medium point is easiest to use and provides a nice line.

Wish "fine point" were actually a bit finer, but writes smoothly; color is pleasing (not too bright).

The Monteverde medium refill seemed like it had quality issues (or it's from being medium instead of fine point) in that it would write very light or blot ink on the paper.

Good price for good Cross ball points.
