The husband was very happy to try out the Cuisinart griddle scraper - it's easy to use with the plastic grip and small 'knob' which allows you to use plenty of force to really scrape hard on the griddle to remove stubborn bits of meat or charcoal or whatever, and there is that nice metal shield to keep anything from flying up as you scrape (or steam as well)

I am not sure who is at fault here the manufacturer or the shipper, but this item arrived with a groove or notch type item on the blade used to clean the griddle
