Yes, it does leak a bit if I try to pour early.

Cons: the cover for the carafe is a bit of a pain to open

Makes excellent coffee, offers 3 carafe heat settings for those who like coffee a bit hotter (me!) and has nice programable feature - easy to use

It was a bit more expensive than some of the others, but the features seemed to justify the extra

The flavor is excellent with no bitter bite.

Note that the end connected to the heating element may be a bit more difficult to remove as it may be melted onto the metal section it covers.

My old Cuisinart Brew Central bit the dust after about 5 years of service

I will be returning it to get money back as I no longer have faith in the quality of these machines
