Noted the hot plate began to flake and then rust

The hot plate rusted after one month of use.

Love the adjustable hot plate temperature (we like ours hot because we use refrigerated creamers), the adjustable keep warm time and the ability to turn the end of cycle chime on or off

and I'm used to not burning my coffee on a hot plate and having a nice insulated

I don't see any problems with filling the water, pouring the coffee out of the carafe, the grinds over spilling, drips on the hot plate, difficulty opening the lid of the carafe or anything else mentioned in other reviews

After less than 6 months of use, the black finish of the warming plate had started to flake off and had white spots on it

This wold be a perfect product and get five stars if it did not have one operator problem - if for some reason you either do not align the carafe well, or make certain that the basket is pushed down in the keyed slot...it will dribble coffee outside the carafe and onto the hot plate bottom as well as the counter

I like the extra features as well, bold brew, 3 settings for hot plate temp and filtered water

Less than 6 months later, in August of 2017, the warming plate was flaking badly and the surface was white with rusting spots

When I turned the machine over I noticed the bottom plate was rusting and had been for a while (I've attached a picture)

The warming plate does keep the coffee nice and hot, which I love.

Makes good coffee quickly and the coffee stays as warm as we want it for as long (not long) as we need it to.
