That's actually kind of nice for forgetful people like me, but if you hit the program button for any reason the alert will sound, and it will not stop until you put all the pieces back together.

so I push the machine over to the sink and fill it with my sink hose, not a big deal for me as the coffee pots home is 8 inches away but never the less I can see why it would aggravate some people
