The DGB I can't say enough good things about, but they missed their mark here

I can't stress enough what a crappy thing this is to wake up to.

Only thing I'd like to see different is that I wish it would hold a few more ounces of water so each cup could have more liquid

The only negative thing I will say about the carafe is that as others have noted the coffee does not pour out of it easily

It's been 5 years, and I have nothing but good things to say about it

I would have given this product a perfect rating except that during the pre-first-time brew when you're supposed to run water through the system, the whole thing smelled like plastic

The other very frustrating thing is that the thermal carafes both leaked, and you can't tell if it's old dishwater coming out of the cracks, or watered down coffee.

Still you have to clean 5 things

This carafe is insulated and keeps things hot for hours.

The only thing negative about it is that it is noisy when grinding the beans, but I guess that is to be expected

nothing special here.if you prefer a rich, full flavored cup of coffee, this isn't the thing.

Yes, I believe you do have to clean everything well each and every day( about 6 or 7 parts including the pot itself), or the thing will stop working, which, in my opinion, is the reason why so many folks have had problems - I could be wrong.

And I did try over and over to make it work - cleaned thoroughly after using, drying all parts to make sure I wasn't doing anything incorrectly, switched beans - and wasted way too much- trying to make sure the original beans weren't too oily (they're amazing in my french press) - and determined it wasn't on my end, this thing is a lemon.

Grinding beans isn't a quiet thing

But I really like this thing.

The only good thing about this items is the insulated pot

This thing requires a major time commitment every time you brew a pot

Good thing about it is, we can stop fumbling with transferring the grounds from a separate grinder to the filter

Last thing anyone wants to do at 5 A.M. is fumble around looking for a part that you don't need while your coffee machine beeps at you... as if the alarm clock wasn't enough!That being said, the charcoal filters are cheap and the built in timer is great

All would be fine except the damn thing leaks coffee all over the place.

I was so excited to get this coffee pot as I had heard and read many good things about it.

This coffee maker is a pain to clean, the condensation in the machine makes the grinder wet, so the whole thing,grinder,basket and pot must be taken out,cleaned and dried each time you use it.

just one thing would be better if it could warm coffee after automatic shutdown

Bottom Line, these things are good for two years.

Gift, haven't heard anything but great things

After 2 years, this thing is still grinding away for me.

I don't care how well you clean these things -- and they require careful, thorough, wasteful cleaning every time you brew -- the Cuisinart DGB-650 will screw you over even if you watch it like a hawk

We tried several things to correct the problem but nothing seemed to help

And this is the most important thing.

The timer is a convenient thing.

I loved the thing and it lasted for about 10 years before the leaks started

This is a common problem for lots of different "dishwasher safe" things

Two things are that annoying:

It's like 6 separate things that you have to clean just to make another pot

We drink coffee daily and this thing is annoying.
