The sound of the grinder is actually softer than the Capresso

The sound is a bit annoying but worth it to have the grind and brew feature together.

It's not painfully loud nor is it an unpleasant sound; it sounds like a coffee grinder

There is a "Grind" arrow on the lid to where the coffee filter is and this must point to the arrow to the base of the filter holder, or your coffee will be too weak to drink and the coffee grinder sounds like it is dying.

(2x a week with extra stored in a sealed container for daily use), so the sound of the burr grinder (MUCH higher quality than what I was previously using to grind my beans) is not shocking, nor do I think it is unusually loud

Other grind-n-brews we tried would beep every 2 minutes for up to an hour if we did not take the pot off.3

After purchasing 2 other grind-n-brews (and returning them) we ordered this one and love it!1

I really liked the look and convenience of the grind n brew and had good luck with Cuisinart brand coffee makers in the past but not this one.
