Luckily I just shortened it (voids warranty) since it's not my primary surge protection

Very good product, helps me shut down all of my studio equipment in one shot, I only wish it had some type of surge protection, but either way very lovely addition to my Studio.

The one WITH surge protection has outlets on the front and back

Works great, having the red "surge protection" light on by default is a bad interface choice though, at first I thought it was indicating a wiring fault or problem with the unit, but a quick googling indicates it's normal operation
