I had this product in all my guitars but have since replaced them with the Oasis humidifier.

Since the packets absorb as well as disperse humidity, you basically need to buy a table-top humidifier (another expense) and let it humidify a room or area with the dried-out packets in close proximity

By the way; unless you keep your guitars inside a hard shell case, I seriously doubt any humidifier is going to protect your guitar in an environment at 20 to 30 percent humidity.

I went through two refills very quickly, a month each, before I added the cheaper planet waves humidifier with the sponge in it as well to help the process along.

I had just purchased a new Martin, and the salesman strongly suggested I use a humidifier to protect my beautiful new instrument

You can use your sponges in cardboard box with holes in it or even a good humidifier like an Oasis brand , but you will never find a neater , non leaking easy to install system that works both ways
