So far the humidipaks have held up well without the need for replacement

(3) place some (I did 3 at a time) dried out Humidipaks in the stoneware bowl (rather than throwing them away and buying new ones); (4) close the air-tight lid on the large food storage container; and (5) wait until the Humidipaks become soft and fluid (like new) again!

I just want everyone to know that since 2008, Planet Waves has been making these NEW & IMPROVED Humidipaks

The New & Improved Humidipaks being offered here on Amazon contain a semi-solid gel and DO NOT LEAK

The humidipaks are great!

As long as I don't leave the case open too long, the Humidipak seems able to maintain the humidity close to the desired level - not perfect, but not as bad as before the dehumidifying procedure
-
It has worked well when the furnace is running as well as when the dehumidifier in the studio has kicked in on a rainy balmy day.
-
If you go through them as fast as I have in the past, they start to get really expensive

Bags should harden as they collect moisture but after an entire summer in the northeast they are as pliable as when first opened.
