Also not sure I would recommend this for folks who are serious about tone and maintiaing the proper humidity in their guitars/ukes/etc.

This unit's strength is that it humidifies the internal part of the guitar where humidity is most critical.

You really have no idea if this keeps your guitar at a proper humidity level or not.

I give it one star for 3 reasons: 1) given its tiny size, there is simply no way it can ever maintain the optimal humidity in a guitar case; 2) it can keep it at may be 40-45%, but even that - for a very limited time only, so you have to moisten it every other day

Proper humidity makes a huge difference

If you live in Da swamp with an old creeky window style AC unit perhaps there will be enough humidity in the air

As it got back to a good humidity level, the sponge would last longer and longer.
