My violin had very old strings on it, so i wasnt that surprised when my violin sounded great with new strings

Overall I think these are great strings for someone that wants the brighter sound from their dark violin

I have an excellent old german violin and these strings brought out it's full deep tone.

I should mention my daughter has used -Super Senstive violin strings and in comparsion, she preferred the D 'Addario's.

I've been playing on d'addario helicore and zyex strings for 15 years and switched to heavy tension to see how they sounded on my quieter violin and while the sound was great, I'm not willing to spend $40/week to keep my instrument strung.
