that way you keep em fresh and easily responsive, but if you have to depend upon your strings for at least 3 - 4 months before getting new ones or if your instrument-bow are low or student quality; make yourself a favor, and drop some more bucks in better strings.again, good for 2 almost 3 months, bad after that
