I was initially put off by the sticky plastic dance surface, but I found it comfortable to dance on once I put on socks

First, like another reviewer said, there is a strong plastic smell from this pad, so let it air out awhile before you use it unless you like a plastic smelling environment

the arrows are slightly raised with hard plastic which is extremely comfortable to play on

The plastic can be a little bit sticky on the feet, but wearing socks easily fixes that problem, and the sensors are incredibly receptive

My one issue the cord that comes out of the pad is likely to bend and break off as it is not secure enough
