    Danelectro DH-1 Hodad Mini Amp

    • A tube amp which is also a very good amp for harp (tip: for harp swap the 12AX7 pre-amp tube with a 12AU7 and it allows cranking the volume higher before feedback).Mine came with no defects or loose parts
    • The fact that I'd stick with any amp, let alone a cheap practice amp, for this many years, is something
    • So, I'm disappointed that this only comes in one color, since that color is brown, and brown is arguably the worst color for anything, because of its resemblance to doodoo, but at least the amp sounds good.
    • I've owned the Fender Deluxe, Orange Micro Crush (very nice little amp), Pignose (one-trick pony but a good one), and the Smokey Supro, since I'm either on the road or living in hotels a lot
    • I can see using this toy on my recordings quite often...great little practice amp...or studio toy.
    • great little amp, sounds awesome.
    • Amazing little amp
    • I like this mini amp.
    • The box is attractive and whimsical, using a lot of "retro" fonts to highlight the features, such as *Powerful Mini Amp for Practice or Back
    • I own several battery powered mini amps and couldn't resist the temptation to buy the new Danelectro Hodad! The box came today and I quickly unleashed it from the package.
    • Anyhoo, the little Hoodad is really a surprisingly nice mini-amp
    • I also tried using a small tube pre-amp with the gain turned very low.no dice
    • I'm using it with a power adapter, my Danelectro '63 re-issue, and the tone in this little thing is amazing!I live in an apartment, and this amp is perfect for early morning/late night practicing.
    • It's a great sounding amp with a really cool shape
    • This isn't a good practice amp if you play doom metal on a baritone guitar
    • Great amp, though, and this is the cheapest place to get it
    • It has a headphone jack too, but it doesn't sound nearly as good as thru the 2" speakers
